i heart the xbox kinect. if you thought the wii was fun, think again. when you are the controller, you don’t have to worry about throwing things at the tv.
it’s also a great way to get you moving around a bit.
things i heart.
i heart lose it. having tried all sorts of diets telling me to eat only one thing, or to avoid another entirely, i gave lose it a shot. all you do is keep track of the calories that you eat. that’s it. you can exercise to get a bigger daily allowance, and guess what, that makes you exercise more.
i heart radiohead. i heart how they’re doing their own thing on their own terms. i heart how out of nowhere, they go and release a new album. get king of limbs directly from them.
(the album is a grower, not a show’er. so give it a couple listens)
i heart food trucks.
i heart food trucks. after having worked in the same location for a while, you’ve probably eaten at every bar, restaurant and fast food chain nearby. that’s when a food truck can come to the rescue. they bring something new to your area and in their current incarnation, they’re better, healthier and tastier than ever before.
now if only that taco truck would come downtown again.
i heart this idea from students at swedish digital school hyper island. putting rfid chips in shoes to automate tasks like facebook friending and foursquare checkins could very well be our future.
great idea, now let’s see someone implement it.
i heart salt. the chemical compound you use to enhance the flavor of food as well as the swedish band from the 90s responsible for the album auscultate. this gem of an album should have catapulted the band into all kinds of stardom, but instead we get to treasure them for what they were and what they represented in terms of raw emotion and grungy guitars.
i heart my urbanears headphones. i got the plattan model in red, but they’re available in just about any bright/bold color you can think of.
and the sound is amazing.
i heart this goal by wayne rooney. it takes an immense amount of skill and awareness to accomplish. and he goes and does it on the biggest occasion. vs rival manchester city.
i heart lcd soundsystem. i heart their music, i heart their live shows and i heart how they care about their fans. when scalpers bought up the tickets for their farewell show, they got angry. and they added more shows to make sure everyone that wanted to see them got to do so.
